Documenting Your Family’s Story
There’s something so powerful about capturing the journey from pregnancy to those first days with your newborn. It’s a story that unfolds slowly but with so much emotion that every stage deserves to be remembered. I’ll never forget when I was pregnant with my own child and how quickly each stage passed. One moment, I was feeling those first kicks, marveling at my growing bump—and before I knew it, I was holding this tiny person who would change my life forever. That’s what drives me to document each chapter for other families: the reality that these moments are so fleeting and so easy to overlook in the blur of it all.
A maternity session is the first page of this story, the chapter where everything begins. In these photos, we capture the wonder, the anticipation, and all the love that already exists before your little one even arrives. There’s something beautifully surreal about documenting a mother’s connection with her baby before they’re even earthside. It’s more than just a “bump photo”–it’s the start of a story that only you, as parents, can fully feel, and it deserves to be captured for you to look back on forever!
Then comes birth photography—a session unlike any other, and one that is incredibly dear to my heart. Birth is raw, emotional, and filled with so many moments that might otherwise be forgotten. I know firsthand how it feels to look back on my own birth photos and remember those first glimpses of my baby, my own expressions of disbelief and joy, and my partner’s awe and emotion as we saw our child for the first time. Birth photography is an intimate experience, but it’s also the most honest portrayal of the arrival of a new life. I’m there to respectfully capture it all: your strength, your partner’s support, and your baby’s first breaths. It’s a chapter of life that passes in an instant, but in photographs, those moments can live on forever!
And then, there’s the newborn session—the perfect way to capture the wonder of those early days. The sleepless nights, the tiny details like the curl of their fingers, the way they fit so perfectly in your arms. Newborn photos aren’t just about how adorable your baby is (though, of course, they absolutely are!) but about the start of your life together as a family. Whether it's your first child or your fifth child, these images mark a new beginning!
Documenting each of these stages—from pregnancy to birth to newborn—allows you to hold on to the full, cohesive story of new life. Together, these photos tell a story that you and your child will one day look back on—a story of how deeply loved they were from the very start.
